Born in Suzhou, China, she currently resides in Chicago, USA.
In 2013, she founded the XWU Chicago Gallery and is the creator of the XWU Art brand.
She began studying traditional Chinese painting at the age of 10, and shifted to contemporary oil painting in the 21st century. Her works have been highly acclaimed by the European and American art communities. She has been a represented artist at the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago and Abacus Gallery in New York.
